Menu for Week of May 17 – May 22, 2021

Our hours are changing slightly this week for the summer season. We will only be open until 2 PM on a Wednesday as opposed to 6 PM.

Monday – Closed

Tuesday – Closed (for prep)

Wednesday – 11 – 2 (Grab N Go lunch available)

Thursday – 11 – 6 (Lunch & Supper)

Friday – 11-6 (Lunch & Supper)

Saturday – 11 – 6 On Saturdays, we offer homemade flakies, buttertarts, slurpie Saturdays and our Outdoor Market Grill, where Chef Casey will be cooking a Lunch Feature from our grill from 11-4 pm.

Pre-orders for our lunches and suppers are always recommended; as you know, we have a zero food-waste policy here in the kitchen, and Chef Casey personally shops for and hand picks every single ingredient for use in our kitchen, buying only what is necessary for that week’s menu and a bit extra in case of last minute orders. But that’s it…when it’s gone, IT IS GONE. To avoid disappointment, please feel free to reserve your dishes early – not only does it ensure you get the meal you are looking for; it also helps with our meal prep and shopping trips.

In addition to our succulent Coconut Curry Chicken Skewers (all breast meat, dairy-free and gluten-free), this week we brought back our Chicken Souvlaki Skewers (all breast meat, dairy-free and gluten-free)!  As always, our Triple B Burgers (beef brisket and bacon, GF) and our Classic 1/2 LB Beef patties will also be available! All Things Bagel!

We love that you are enjoying the handmade bagels we carry from The Bagel Oven based in Beamsville, Ontario. This is a family-run business that specializes in handmade authentic Jewish bagels. To complement your bagels, we are also offering European cream cheese and delicious homemade hummus. Chef Casey makes her hummus with dried chick peas and the highest quality tahini available. If you know you’d like a larger volume of bagels for the week ahead, please get in touch asap so we can preorder those for you from The Bagel Oven and have them delivered fresh to our kitchen just for you for pickup Saturday. Other Refreshing and Fun Beverages

Birthday Cake and Java Chip Frappuccinos!  A Frappuccino is a blended ice beverage. Refreshing as heck and can be made with milk substitutions such as coconut milk, soy beverage and almond milk (hold the whip)!  Try a Java Chip, made with our housemade coffee ice cubes and chocolate or a birthday cake frappuccino. We also make our own lemonade and have a really refreshing Passion Tea Lemonade.

Currently available Saturdays only in three flavours (Ontario Peach, Quebec Wild Blueberry, Raspberry) are our homemade Flakies – these are are generously filled with our housemade vanilla whipped cream with a lovely sprinkling of powdered sugar.  As we never make our whipped cream with animal-based stabilizers thus maintaining a vegetarian food item, these are only offered on a Saturday, but we will do our best to allow preorders of Flakies. 

Yesterday was our first offering of the Saturday BBQ Lunch, featuring our Greek Old Fashioned House Burger served 12-2 pm.  The weather cooperated and didn’t blow us sideways off our corner outside. This Saturday, again provided the weather is not extreme, Chef Casey will be at the outdoor grill.  Reservations are not necessary, however, probably a good idea to avoid disappointment.  So grab yourself a delicious beverage, a buttertart or two (or six? we don’t judge and, hey, why not get 6 and save the tax!) or a housemade Flakie and stay for lunch!  Although we don’t have outside seating, there is on-street parking and I’m pretty sure most of us are getting pretty used to dining “en-auto” with the ever-changing Covid restrictions.
