This week marked the first anniversary of Fresh Market Kitchen being open in Selkirk, Ontario. Chef Casey and Caveman Rob would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out for Cappuccino and Cake Saturday, March 27th helping us celebrate family style with style and all that we have accomplished at Fresh Market Kitchen despite Covid this past year. So a huge thank you for your continued support and encouragement. It truly means the world to us and our entire fantastic team!
It’s a short week this week as we approach Good Friday. We have tons of fabulous flavours and a few surprises planned to make this another tasty week. A couple of the meals being offered this week would be great in your freezer for a quick and easy from-scratch meal when you just don’t have time to make it yourself.
Pre-orders for our lunches and suppers are always recommended; as you know, we have a zero food-waste policy here in the kitchen, and Chef Casey personally shops for and hand picks every single ingredient for use in our kitchen, buying only what is necessary for that week’s menu and a bit extra in case of last minute orders. But that’s it…when it’s gone, it is gone. To avoid disappointment, please feel free to reserve your dishes early – not only does it ensure you get the meal you are looking for; it also helps with our meal prep and shopping trips.

Three-Day Beef Chili & Baguette
Our Three-Day Beef Chili starts with a 24-hour soaking for the dried Red Kidney Beans and Great Northern White Beans (we never use canned beans in our chili) and is made with fresh Ontario Lean Ground Beef and slowly simmered over two days. This is served with a freshly baked-in-store French baguette and includes sour cream, cheese and green onions to top your chili. The ultimate comfort meal feast!!
